New Horizons Aged Care

New Horizons opened its Aged Care in 2003 after acquiring two failing nursing homes and building a state-of-the-art facility at North Ryde.

With a vision to design a ‘home away from home’ rather than a ‘facility’ we quickly established a reputation for providing specialist, high-quality care for people with a broad range of care needs in a personalised and authentic way.

Our care team applies a holistic, person-centred approach with the aim of offering a comfortable, respectful, dignified and supportive living environment, where residents are supported to remain as independent and in-control of their lives as possible.

Since opening, we have won a number of awards and consistently met the Australian Aged Care Quality Agency’s four Standards covering management systems, health and personal care, care recipient lifestyle, and the physical environment. The standards consist of 44 expected outcomes including human resource management, clinical care, medication management, privacy and dignity, leisure interests, cultural and spiritual life, choice and decision-making and the living environment. How to fund your support

There are several ways you can access New Horizons supports and services. We can provide advice and guidance to find the best funding option for you.

Government funding & NDIS

The government provides a number of funding options, including the NDIS, to help people like you pay for certain supports and services. Our Lifestyle Planners can talk you through your funding options.


People wishing to access specific supports and services who do not receive government funding or who wish to have additional supports outside of their government funding can choose to self-fund.

Health Insurance

In some cases, Private Health Insurance companies may pay for or subsidise the cost of certain supports and services. This will depend on your individual circumstances and policy details.
